Hey guys,
ICT project update: We have finished our final editing process, and next week, our final lesson, we will be watching the other groups videos, a lesson we can sit back and do nothing. I will ask Candy for the video so I can post it on Youtube to show it to you guys.
11 days since there was a new post, I was a quite busy with homework this week, and just some normal stress. I'm fine.
Today I am here to talk about a bit of a controversal subject between bloggers: Tumblr. Tumblr turned famous in the past 2 years, and it is still growing. Reaching 1 Billion pageviews 4 months ago, was a big milestone to Tumblr.
I personally don't use Tumblr, because of one reason: The system is very confusing. That's why I stuck with Blogger.
Tumblr is known for its bad customer support, and it's unstable servers. A lot of people have reported to me, saying that from time to time that their blog is not even accesible. My first reply is: What the hell?
Also, it's design is so confusing. I cannot seem to navigate around some blogs, taking an example of my friend's blog. I just cannot seem to find my way through. Can you?
Look at the stuff. What does those photos of products mean? I just have no idea.
Although I know that this is a theme, but who uses such a confusing one? I see a lot of blogs use this kind of themes, which is just not suitable for a blog.
Also, the following system is very confusing, no one in my class who use Tumblr, can tell me the following system means, because it is so confusing. Unlike Blogger or ANY other Blogging systems, their following system is very simple, you follow or you don't.
So, after reading this, would you use Tumblr? I swore that I will never use Tumblr, trust me.
The IT blog is a blog that provides news and reviews relating to information technology. Run by a 13 year old Secondary school student in Hong Kong, Larry Poon.

The future of this blog
Hi guys,
I am not sure about this, but as looking at the future of this blog, it does not look very good. As I am always busy with work, and also dealing with pressure with Vanessa and Colleen and the lack of viewers of this blog, I don't think I can continue this blog for very long.
Very soon, this blog may need to close down, and cease operations. At least I can last until I finish my ICT project with my partners, which would be done in 3 weeks time, and maybe thats the time I will consider closing it down.
I hope you all can understand the fact that I am in Year 9, and it is the time where I have a lot of work, tests, exams, and even choosing subjects I want to take for GCSE. As I am moving on to Year 10 later this year, there will be even less time to update this blog, as already I realized, it is already pretty slow in updating.
As I am also dealing with my private issues with Vanessa and Colleen, it is very stressfull sometimes, as I really just want to sit back and just have a rest.
Although there is a lot of potential for this blog, a lot of things I can improve, but as I am pretty busy and full of pressure, I think I cannot continue.
It is sad to see this blog go, as I put a lot of work on this blog.
I am maybe abandoning this blog, and I will tell you that there will be no updates anymore, but you can still see the past posts. Maybe I might leave this blog to someone, for example Vanessa, or my good friend Marco, so this blog can live on, but I don't think that would happen.
Never give up your dreams, if I really do close down this blog, do not be like me, always stay strong, whatever problems you face.
Finally, I will leave you a quote:
Being sorry does not mean anything if you don't change your actions or ways - Colleen Yuen.
Don't do anything that will make you say sorry, which I do all the time. The worst thing is that I never change.
Just don't be like me.
Thanks guys,
Larry

Is Firefox safe?
Hi guys,
Before I start, I would like to remind you that a new update for iTunes 11, iTunes 11.0.1.12 is out. There is a few bug fixes. Update with Apple Software Update app now!
I realized I've been just so off topic recently, so I will write more things that are ON topic. So a lot of people ask this question, Is Firefox safe?
As I am a user of Firefox, one of the few in my year at school, Firefox is recommended in our school, which is a quite a good thing. Firefox (Or Mozilla) is non-profit organization which only gets money from donations, and try to make one of the best browsers in the world, which is one of the main reasons I like Firefox.
Sometimes you don't only judge a good internet browser by it's speed and user number, but by different aspects. Judging a internet browser is a very hard job, because the main purpose is for surfing the internet, no matter if you are using Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, Firefox or whatever browser you use.
The important part of a browser is safety, other than speed, user number and user friendliness. Some people (For example, my mom) thinks that Firefox is a very dangerous browser, but is it really one?
I think the people have the wrong idea of thinking Firefox is not safe because they don't know it well. I would say it's actually the safest browser. The Firefox team did not really do a lot of fancy designs on their browser, for example Internet Explorer 9, or Google Chrome, pratically making it faster by not scanning for viruses.
Although Firefox is not a very fast browser, or a very user friendly, but what it always make sure is safety. Looking at the Firefox webpage, there is a whole page just for introducing their security system on Firefox. If you don't believe me, you can check here: http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/security/
Well concluding, really, Firefox is the saftest browser you can find. And don't forget, they are doing this for free, and they do not get a single penny other than donations. Support Firefox!

Follow up on ICT project, iTunes 11?
Dear all,
It's time for me to post again. The past week was a tough week, with homework, test and most of all some private issues with Vanessa (again!)
First, we wish Vanessa a (Late) Happy Birthday, which was on November 23rd!
On our ICT project, we did something independently this week, where we just tried to learn how to use Vegas Pro, which was a good session. I had a bit of a blast of trying to make a simple movie put together. Next week we would really start rolling on the filming process with Colleen, Candy and Caleb (Isn't it all strange that their names all start with a C expect for me?)
So lets move on to some news. Where is our iTunes 11? We've been wating for quite a while now, but some users are starting to lose patience, but never mind, I rather Apple release something finished rather than one full of bugs and unfinished.
iTunes 11 will introduce a brand new design, probably the biggest change since its launch in 2001. With exiting new album view, and the 'Mini' Player when minimised, this is gonna be a exiting version. On the Apple website, it said 'Coming in November' So most people will expect the update in the next two days. Be patient! Apple is trying to make the best.
The death of Ping, their social network will be done on iTunes 11, which they would not have it on iTunes 11. Well Ping is just a failure to me. We expect iTunes 11 to be out in the next few days, which a lot of label companies has heard from.
This two months was quite busy, Windows 8, Windows Phone 8, Microsoft Surface, iPad Mini, iPad 4th gen, New iMac and 13 inch Retina MacBook Pro. I'm sorry I couldn't cover them, as I was really depressed about Vanessa. I wish I did, so I can just literally pick it up to you all. I promise, I will cover new products in the future.
UPDATE: The brand new Nokia Lumia 920 and 820 is here, with Windows Phone 8 installed. As looking from the email Nokia sent me, it looks pretty impressive. As far as I know, it has a so-called
PureView camera, and also a PureMotion HD+ Screen, (What does that possibly mean?) And some exiting new features. I will follow up on all the new features of them soon.
Thank you.

Moved on from Food Tech to ICT, Flash for ICS Android 4.0.X
Hello,
It's been a really looooooooong time since I have post anything ( Thanks to you, Vanessa) But this time, I am really back.
My lovely class (9.4) in my school (Sha Tin College) has just finished our Food technology project, and moving on towards ICT. And our new exiting project is called 'A day in a life in STC' A video project. And me, Colleen Yuen, Candy and Caleb Hyde have joind together to make one, along with 5 other groups. I will be using this blog to update our progress, and I hope you all will enjoy it when the final movie is finished!
We have started on our photo shooting progress, and we will record the actual movie later. This exiting project will include a lot of sweat and pain (Along with arguments with Colleen) But I am sure that we will make the best quality video we can make.
So moving on to our next topic. Adobe Flash. In August, Adobe has announced taking off the Flash off Google Play, and its giving a lot of pain to Android 4.0.X users (Which includes me, I have installed Cyanonagen Mod 9 RemICS on my Galaxy W) But dont feel mad or sad yet; Cause theres a workaround.
1.Go to helpx.adobe.com/flash-player-versions.html on your Android device.
2. Scroll down towards section saying
'Flash Player Archived for Android 4.0'
3. Select 'Flash Player 11.1. For Android 4.0 11.1.115.27)
4. After downloading, go to 'Downloads' and select the file.
5.After opening it, press install on the screen.
6. After installing, you're done!
7. Check a Flash Website to make sure it works.
This will not slow down your phone. Trust me.
I hope that this can help you get Flash back, and also I hope you all can support us with the 'A day in a life' video. We will try our best!

Samsung Galaxy S III Mini=Samsung Galaxy W sucsessor? (Issues on sudden restart of the W)
Hi guys! A long time of not posting on the blog. Last week I was cut off from the internet, because I was camping, so sorry for the no posts! The past few days, well was hard, because of issues between Vanessa. So I have recovered, and back with my blog.
So, I have took a look at the Samsung Galaxy S III mini, and pretty much the same look as the S III. Just a smaller, strip down version of it. Samsung Galaxy W was a stripdown version of the S II, so I think, that this is a sucsessor of the W.
Samsung Galaxy W is a phone that wasnt too famous, a quietly released phone. Unlike the S III mini. Well, they had a huge press conference for that thing. The specs is pretty much the same, and almost the same size.
Would you get the S III mini. I wouldn't. I think I'll would rather get a S III instead. Or either stick with my W.
And also, have you been experienceing sudden restart issues while using you Galaxy W, after you updated to the ICS value pack? Leave a comment, if its my phone's problem, well tough luck for me. I will be figuring out how to fix that thing, and uploading it in the next few days. Stay tuned!

Happy (Late) birthday, Thinkpad!
5 days ago, Lenovo celebrated 20 years of the Thinkpad. Thinkpad is an buisness laptop, and being praised by many. From the 700, to the X1 Carbon. The original Thinkpad idea was from their 'Think' Notebook (The paper one!), a notebook with a 'Think' on it. The second inspiration was from the 'Bento' lunchbox in Japan.
The Thinkpad is so sucsessful today is becuase of its buisness friendly style and also durability. The Thinkpad has passed 8 military specifications, and also able to withstand drops from 5 feet high (Using the Thinkpad X1 as an example). Why consider using Thinkpad when there is so many different, better designed laptops out there? Its special.
Power-People always had problems with running out of battery while they are on the go. No problem with the Thinkpad. Every year where power standards gets pushed higher, the Thinkpad goes for it. For example the Thinkpad R400 laptop in 2009, it went up to four hours, which is quite a lot in 2009. Now in 2012, it can go up to 8 hours, 24 or even 48.
The Thinkpad X1 carbon is really a good choice. With a carbon shell, its not destroyable. With a speedy processor, a magnificent IPS display, you will see that you didnt get the right laptop. As becoming the most expensive Thinkpad ever sold, its still worth it. Marking a 20th aniversary of the Thinkpad, will become history.
Opinions matter in IT industry, and as an Thinkpad user, I think the Thinkpad can give me full power no matter if I am working or playing. As Thinkpad passes a lot of specifications, even the toughest enviornment in our school, it still can give a tough side.
